The following is an important message regarding the Technology Demonstration Program from Industry Canada:
On September 4, 2013 the Technology Demonstration Program was launched. This program plays a critical role in supporting research and development (R&D) in the aerospace, space, defence and security sectors.
We are pleased to announce the second call for Statements of Interest into this program. Statements of Interest are due by June 27, 2014.
The Technology Demonstration Program supports large-scale R&D projects led by an Original Equipment Manufacturer or Tier 1 integrator, collaborating with small and medium sized firms and post-secondary education institutions. Projects are expected to demonstrate technological advances that have the potential to generate significant long-term economic benefit to Canada. The government’s goal is to award a $54 million non-repayable contribution to support one large scale project per year. The program will cover up to 50 percent of total eligible project costs for activities up to Technology Readiness Level 6.
