OUR MISSION
To offer the Halifax community the chance to celebrate our shared oceans through educational and engaging activities throughout the community, to which we hope will foster a greater sense of maritime identity and marine stewardship among all participants.
OUR VISION
To celebrate Oceans Week HFX through collaboratively planned and executed events throughout Halifax (+ beyond) by offering several free and accessible ocean-focused and community activities to the public. The purpose of these events will be to better inform our community of the various global ocean issues, educate about local solutions, and inspire personal contributions. We want to create a community pledge across all ages to improve ocean literacy in Halifax.
