(Halifax-November 14, 2016): “The Aerospace and Defence Industry Association of Nova Scotia (ADIANS) would like to congratulate Rich Billard for being selected to take on the new role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the newly formed Atlantic Canada Aerospace and Defence Association (ACADA),” says Executive Vice-President ADIANS Paul Yeatman.

 

ACADA is an amalgamation of the provincial aerospace and defence associations in the region that have come together to both strengthen the sector’s voice and enhance the services and programs offered to members.  It was established after an extensive consultation with industry players throughout Atlantic Canada.

 

“I am keenly excited about the opportunity to represent this growth sector on a regional basis.  Atlantic Canada has a great story to tell on the aerospace and defence front,” says the founding CEO, Rich Billard.

 

Rich’s background includes 20 years with the Royal Canadian Navy as a Combat Systems Engineer, seven years in Business Development with MDA Systems Ltd., and has significant Board experience with ADIANS having served on the board for over five years, most recently as President of the Board and Chair of the Atlantic Alliance of Aerospace and Defence Associations (AAADA).

 

“I know that Rich has a unique set of skills and expertise to take on this critically important role at a pivotal point for the aerospace and defence sectors in Atlantic Canada,” concluded ADIANS Chairperson Paul Yeatman.

 

Rich will assume this new role effective 21st November, 2016.
