    MDA to provide maritime command and control solution to NATO

    MDA, a business unit of Maxar Technologies (formerly MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd.), (NYSE: MAXR; TSX: MAXR), today announced that it has signed a contract valued at approximately CA$15 million with NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI). MDA will build a new system to support NATO’s maritime command and control operations under Project TRITON based on a modern software architecture and technology. This capability will be provided on both fixed and deployable systems. MDA will also provide NATO with a stand-alone command and control visualization capability which is planned to become the standardized map and object visualization for all NATO information technology systems.     Newfoundland Company secures Agreement with US Navy

    Marine Industrial Lighting Systems Ltd., MILS, 100% Newfoundland owned and operated, designer and manufacturer of innovative lighting products has reached an agreement with the US Navy’s Military Sealift Command to supply innovative, explosion proof LED conversion kits to the US Navy’s T-AKE class vessels. The contract will be to supply and install approximately 15,000 new explosion proof LED light fixture kits for 14 of the large vessels.
