What you do

Do you like wildlife? Do you care about the environment? As a hatchery Technician, one of your main jobs would be the care and well-being of the fish. This includes feeding, harvesting and ensuring proper health of the fish and ensuring management of equipment. Hatchery Technicians can play a large role in the supply chain, including prep for transportation to customers and introducing new species into different areas.





A Hatchery Technician performs some or all of the following duties:

  • Daily maintenance of the hatchery including feeding, water quality and equipment
  • Provide tours to public and school groups
  • Fulfill orders and deliveries
