Conference Overview

We are proud to present energy3: Canada’s Energy Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia from October 16-18, 2019. energy3 is a three-day conference and trade exhibition focused on Canada’s energy industry, putting the spotlight on our strengths, challenges and opportunities.

Canada has abundant energy resources – many of them largely untapped. As the world moves towards a low carbon economy, Canada’s energy sector can play a significant leadership role. A strategic effort in balancing traditional energy resource development with established and emerging renewable energy sources, along with adoption of clean technologies across the sector, can lead to both economic and environmental benefits for Canadians.

energy3 is being developed and hosted through a partnership between Marine Renewables Canada (MRC), The Maritimes Energy Association (MEA), and the Offshore Energy Research Association (OERA). Recognizing the interconnectedness of the energy sector and the value of bringing together diverse perspectives from industry, government, researchers, and stakeholders, energy3 is designed to ignite important conversations, thought-provoking debates, and new collaborations and will provide a forum to discuss the future of Canada’s energy sector in the regional, national and global context – highlighting industry success stories, enabling research and development, and pathways for future growth. energy3 will profile all segments of the energy industry in a more diverse context breaking down its underpinning complexity, providing clarity  around potential opportunities while outlining associated economic and environmental benefits.
