Job Summary:

Reporting to the Controller, the Human Resource Coordinator will support all hiring and human resource management activities of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in close cooperation with the members of the Senior Management Team to develop appropriate job descriptions for open roles within the company.
  • Acting as the coordinator and point-person handling all recruitment postings; and categorizing and organizing responses.
  • Supporting team members in initial assessments against agreed criteria and developing a short-list of appropriate candidates for further investigation.
  • Organizing and scheduling interviews for selected candidates.
  • Attending interviews and documenting results, performing follow up and reference checks where appropriate.
  • Preparing for and assisting with new hire onboarding process.
  • Tracking and scheduling HR processes including employee anniversaries, probationary periods, reviews, milestones etc.
  • Assisting Senior Management with related funding applications and documentation support.
  • Maintaining confidential, accurate, and up to date employee files
  • Participating in employee engagement initiatives (i.e. holiday parties, social events, employee engagement surveys, etc.).

Required Skills:

  • 2-4 years experience working as in HR, with demonstrated experience in a broad range of HR functions.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities leveraging sound attention to detail and strong organization skills.
  • You consider yourself a brand ambassador, have hands on experience recruiting candidates, promoting the employment brand and enjoy using technology to help drive efficiencies and measure success.
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels in the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education with an emphasis on Human Resource Management
  • Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education

Hours of Operation:

To the public, we answer questions and attend meetings between 9am - 5pm. Our corporate culture values work/life balance and are proud to offer staff the ability to alter their start and end times of their workday. We recognize that not all individuals work most productively during a 9am-5pm schedule, therefore, we are happy to accommodate to your most productive working hours. However, the HR coordinator is a key focal point for contact on the team and must be completed substantially in person at the main office.

What happens next?

Salary: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
