Dartmouth
Career Opportunity
GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who is passionate about mechanical architectural design.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for hands-on design and development work of our sonar and marine systems. You will be involved in various stages of design from conceptual design through detailed design, while supporting procurement, build, and test activities as your design comes full circle reaching the execution and delivery stage.
You will work as part of a team, and under the guidance of experienced engineers, executing design tasks on systems for use above and below water. Responsibilities include Solidworks CAD design of assemblies and components, material section, structural and other analyses, design for manufacture, and component specifications. This role requires someone with critical thinking skills, highly motivated, and passionate about design work. We build and test our systems in our Dartmouth facility and get them wet locally and globally, so this position will require in-person work and may present the opportunity for some field travel.
