Marine Thinking is seeking an individual looking to join an agile, dynamic, and motivated team in the artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic technology industry. Our technology aims to help protect the environment by supporting the sustainable development of the marine industry. We are looking for a Sales Specialist who is a self-starter, critical thinker, and highly interested in the application of new technologies and methods for monitoring ocean health, to join our operation team in Halifax, NS. As a Sales Specialist you will have the opportunity to earn a sizable commission on top of your base salary!


Roles and Responsibilities:

· Respond to all online store related operations

  • Respond to inquiries made by clients about company products and services in a timely and friendly manner
  • Manage all inventory and coordinate with others on orders to be made
  • Ensure that all items required for production are available in a timely manner
  • Create and manage client profiles
  • Prepare all supporting documents (shipping labels, customs declarations, product tags etc.)
  • Collect and analyze client feedback in order to optimize online sale experience
  • Semi-yearly or yearly review and planning

· Provide general support to Sales Manager

  • Take part in annual Sales Plan development
  • Provide product/service demonstrations and sales presentations
  • Work with technical team to provide customized products/services to clients
  • Drive referral request conversations with current and new customers
  • Any other reasonable job responsibilities that are assigned

· Provide general administrative support to sales team, such as phone calls, emails, and organize sales related data

· Generate operational reports on a weekly or monthly basis

· Assist the sales team with maintaining excellent relationships with all business contacts

· Coordinate and assist in customer service support activities

· Support all sales activities as required, such as trade show, conference or other online/offline presentation

· 6-month performance review will be applied


Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience in marine technology or solution sales or related field

· Post-secondary in business management is an asset

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

· Must be sales minded and target driven

· Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and oral communication/negotiation skills

· Ability to answer inquiries on time

· Good working knowledge of the Windows Suite products
