Katchi is developing a next-generation trawl fishing system to minimize environmental and economic impacts in the ground trawl fishing industry. Our system will allow fish harvesters to catch groundfish without contacting the seabed, reducing drag on the vessel, and reducing equipment wear as compared to a traditional ground trawl. Our project aims to provide a more effective, efficient, and environmentally sustainable product than what currently exists in the market.
