OceansAdvance and its 34 partners from 6 Provinces are thrilled to announce that we were successful in our Expression of Interest to the Ocean Supercluster (OSC) for funding of the Canadian Women in Oceans Industries Leadership Conference – CWOIL
According to a 2015 McKinsey Global Institute report, women comprise only 2% of the global marine and ocean industry.
In Canada, we believe we can change that by bringing together industry; research; academia; students; NGOs; government agencies and individuals from the regional, national and international oceans community.
Thank you to all those that are onboard, and we hope to add more to this group as word of our initiative spreads. Want to know more about this amazing opportunity? Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
What a powerful statement we have made by the sheer numbers and the strength of this community from coast to coast that is willing to come together to support underrepresented groups and individuals in the oceans sector.
Thank you OSC for believing in this initiative and your support of this project!
